TMS

Seamless integration enables TMS to provide enterprise-wide access to valuable logistics information. Real-time access to order and shipment information improves the effectiveness of your e-business and supply chain strategies – enhanced customer service, accurate order tracking and tighter inventory management.  TMS’ Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) capabilities are rooted in strategic partnerships, years of proven production implementations, varied and flexible integration tools, expert professional services, and a commitment to logistics execution excellence. Today’s partnerships include industry leaders such as interBiz Supply Chain Group, Lawson Software, Oracle and SAP, with new alliances being formed continually to provide the most comprehensive solutions to our customers. And because we recognize that you may use custom applications or software from vendors with whom we have no formal partnership, we continue to develop and support effective interfaces to dozens of complementary solutions – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), e-commerce, inventory management, order management, warehouse management and general accounting packages.  Clearly, TMS is uniquely positioned to leverage both the latest EAI technologies and an extensive set of flexible integration tools (XML, ODBC, Neutral Host Interface Tables, shared-file exchange, screen-scraping, etc.), combined with expert professional services to enable you to share information throughout your supply chain – today and tomorrow.

TMS Enterprise Edition is a true thin-client web-based application from that provides
enterprise shipping functionality. TMS Enterprise Edition is a multi-carrier system that
supports small package, LTL, Truckload and local carriers.

Integration to other systems is important for many reasons. It helps ensure data accuracy, efficient processes,
reduced errors, fewer redundant tasks and improved fulfillment times.

TMS includes the following integration tools:

  • XML – Xtensible Markup Language, the language of the Internet provides real-time integration

  • ODBC – Open Database Connectivity connects databases for sharing of data real-time

  • Neutral Host Interface Tables – provides intermediate database tables between your host and TMS for reasons such as IT security, ability to combine data from many tables into one consolidated table, or simply to accommodate modifications the host cannot handle.

  • Fixed file data mapping – batch file integration for processing many orders/shipments at once

  • Easy to use, drag and drop capabilities

  • Scalable Web-Based, High-Performance Architecture

TMS’ web-browser interface is easy to use, but is also configurable. Configure your shipping screen to include the fields you want, default values, values pulled from the database, or have information – like the weight – read from a scale. A web-browser interface means no additional software or special hardware is required. TMS along with the eQuery feature, allows you to provide order and shipment query and status via the Internet, too.
